Leather Care
Leather Care Fundamentals:
To keep leather looking its best and lasting a lifetime, follow these essential steps:
Dry immediately if wet:
Gently blot excess moisture with a clean cloth and let it air dry naturally—never use heat like a hairdryer or radiator. Stuff bags with newspaper to maintain shape.
Clean regularly:
Wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth every few days. For deeper cleaning, use a leather-specific cleaner (avoid harsh soaps, alcohol, or baby wipes). Apply in circular motions and wipe off with a damp cloth.
Condition every 6–12 months:
Use a high-quality leather conditioner (like Leather Honey, mink oil, or neatsfoot oil) to prevent drying and cracking. Apply with a cloth, let it absorb overnight, then buff off excess.
Store properly:
Keep leather away from sunlight, heat, humidity, and dust. Use a breathable fabric bag (not plastic) and store items upright or on shelves. Air them out every few weeks to prevent mold.
